The Ministry of Defence announces the completion of the evaluation process of the applications submitted in the framework of the announcement for the recruitment of Professional Soldiers (SYOPs) in the National Guard, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, dated 04.12.2020.
Having the results of the Sports and Military Tests, as well as all other data concerning the recruitment criteria (except the Health Exam), the Evaluation Committee evaluated all 1247 applications that had been submitted and proceeded to the preparation of the Preliminary List, which was published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
The Preliminary Table presents the points received by each candidate, based on the relevant scoring provided in the Announcement, for purposes of transparency. The Table also includes the candidates who either did not attend the Sports and Military Tests or did not meet the required qualifications, appearing in the Table in entries 633 to 1247.
Every person who submitted an application has the right to submit an objection against the order of ranking in the Preliminary Table, within a period of eight (8) calendar days from the date of publication of the Table in the Official Gazette of the Republic (date of publication included). Objections must be submitted to the Ministry of Defence no later than 19.03.2021 either in person or sent by fax (fax no. 22807556 or 22676182).
Then, the Objections Committee will examine and decide on all the objections that will be received within the given deadline and will release a Final Table, which will include the candidates for the recruitment of SYOPs in a priority order. This Table will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic.

In case a SYOP candidate arrives at the Health Examination that will take place immediately after the publication of the Final Table (around the end of March – beginning of April) and before the signing of the relevant Contract, without all the required medical examinations / certificates, or if during the Health Examination they are not considered suitable to serve in the National Guard (first or second category (I/1 or I/2)) or do not attend the Health Examination, they will be deleted from the Final Table and their position will be offered to the next candidate in the Final Table.
It is noted that the Final Table is valid for one year from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic and will be used to fill vacancies throughout this year.
