A total of 23 illegal immigrants from Syria arrived last night by boat in Pervolia.
According to the Police, around 8:15 pm last night, a boat that had run aground on the beach was located on the coastal front of Pervolia in Larnaca province and several Arabic-speaking people disembarked from it.
Members of the Kiti Police Station rushed to the scene and located a total of 14 men, 2 women and 7 minors.
Members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, the Asylum Service and the Civil Defence also went to the scene and carried out the necessary examinations and investigations.
After receiving all the necessary information for the people who arrived, they were transported by bus to the “Pournara” Hospitality Center in Kokkinotrimithia.
