Immigrants from Syria have crossed Strovilia towards the British Bases of Dhekelia, while a boat with other illegal immigrants is located in the sea area of Cavo Greco.
According to information from CNA, around midnight, 15 people from Syria, 14 men and a woman, passed through Strovilia and entered the British Bases of Dhekelia, from an unknown, unauthorized point of entry.
The immigrants were arrested by the Police of the Bases and are being held, while they are expected to give statements about their point of entry into the territory of the Bases as well as how they arrived in the occupied areas.
British bases are trying to locate the hitherto unknown point through which the illegal immigrants passed.

The Police of Dhekelia Bases cooperate closely with the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus regarding the issue of illegal immigrants and it is expected that the 15 Syrians, after going through a coronavirus test, will be transferred by the authorities to the “Pournara” Hospitality Center in Kokkinotrimithia.
Meanwhile, shortly before six in the morning, the Police received information that a boat with immigrants was located 8 nautical miles southeast of Cavo Greco.
Two Port Police boats went to the sea area where the boat with about ten people on board was located.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, members of the Port Police are trying to persuade the immigrants to return to their country of origin.
