From Thursday 15 to Friday 23 June 2023, the Hellenic Armed Forces participated in the Multinational Exercise “PLATINUM WOLF 23” at the “BOROVAC” Training Field in Serbia near the “SOUTH” military base. The exercise was held in the context of the wider planning of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) for the international collaborations of the Hellenic  Armed Forces.

“PLATINUM WOLF 23”, led by the 4th Army Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces, involved forces from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Skopje, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Hungary, Romania, and Slovenia.

According to an announcement by HNDGS, from the Greek side, the exercise took place with the participation of 1 Airborne Strike Platoon of 18 men of the 71st Airborne Brigade “PONTOS” as well as 2 Staff Officers at the Staff conducting the exercise.

During the exercise, Peace Support Operations (PSO) such as the operation of checkpoints, isolation and search operations, urban warfare operations, execution of patrols, and force protection were carried out, which contributed to the increase of the participants’ level of operational readiness and combat capabilities.
