The participation of Cyprus companies in five proposals of the European Defence Industrial Development Program (EDIDP) of the European Commission for the year 2020 is definitely a leap in the development of the defence industry in Cyprus.
Among them is the HERMES program: Data Exchange Platform for the Cyber Defence of Autonomous Military Systems. The program concerns the development of data exchange platforms for defence against digital threats and autonomous defence systems. The Cyprus company Ebos Technologies LTD participates in the said program.
Ebos Technologies LTD retains offices in Cyprus, Ireland and the UK and undertakes projects in the field of information technology and new technologies. The company has already participated in 28 programs in the field of research and development, including ones related to the development of 5G technologies. It has also participated in other European programs in the field of defence and security, such as the CIVILnEXt program of the European Union’s Global Strategy for Foreign and Security Policy 2016, with the aim of developing solutions for better communication, information exchange and joint planning between states and institutions of the union with an emphasis on security issues.
