From April 4-6, 2023, the tactical exercise “TRIAINA – 2023” was held by the Navy Command in the sea and land areas of the Republic of Cyprus. The exercise took place with the participation of the personnel and means of Naval Commands and Units as well as air means of the Air Force Command.

The purpose of the exercise was to promote joint actions, to train the personnel in scenarios that simulate real conditions in a period of tension – crisis, and operations, to train the Staff Forces in rapid decision-making processes as well as to test the logistics system.

In particular, the scenarios of the exercise included, among others, the execution of technical drills and special operations missions, coastal control and position recognition, surface surveillance as well as the execution of maritime area denial operations, targeting and attacking enemy ships.

The exercise is part of the operational training of the personnel of the Staff and the Units of the Navy Command of the National Guard and aims to further upgrade the level of its combat capability.
