Florence Parly | Confirms France’s tangible support to Cyprus

The Minister of Defence, Charalambos Petridis, had the third telephone communication with the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly.

According to a post by the Ministry of Defence on social media, the two Ministers discussed at length the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and in particular the ongoing illegal actions of Turkey within the Cyprus EEZ.

Mrs Parly reaffirmed France’s tangible support and its intention to maintain a naval presence in the region as well as the need for unity and solidarity within the EU so as to counter Turkish aggression.
