Five people were killed yesterday morning in a military helicopter crash in Cuba. The aircraft crashed in a mountainous area in the eastern part of the island between Holguin province and Guantanamo Bay, the government said.
A brief statement issued by the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces said the helicopter crashed into an “elevation” and “all five crew members were killed”. The statement stressed that a committee had been set up to “investigate the causes of the accident”.
