Cypriot technological company eBOS has showcased its groundbreaking advancements in defence and security at the BATTLEFIELD REDEFiNED 2024 Conference.
Founded in 2003, eBOS has steadily grown into a regionally recognised small-to-medium enterprise (SME), delivering advanced e-business solutions and making significant strides in the research and development domain.
With its headquarters in Cyprus and regional offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, eBOS operates across an extensive network of partnerships that span the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The company’s proprietary WiseBOS software platform serves as the foundation for its innovative solutions, integrating state-of-the-art technologies and expertise to address diverse industry challenges.
Over the years, eBOS has participated in more than 70 European Union-funded R&D projects, earning recognition as a key innovator by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar. As noted, holding nine international patents, the company has also maintained its position as the top-ranked Cypriot SME in EU R&D funding for nearly two decades.
Drawing on technical expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cybersecurity, blockchain, IoT, and next-generation communications, the company actively participates in dozens of projects designed to enhance military operations.
Among these are the HERMES Data Exchange Platform, which ensures secure and seamless information sharing between autonomous military systems, and RAPTOR, a predictive maintenance system for firearms that offers remote monitoring to improve operational readiness. The company’s participation in the 5GMILNET project has meant to introduce a portable tactical communication solution that provides secure, high-speed connectivity even in contested battlefield environments.
At the core of the company’s defence capabilities lies the DefenceBOS Unified Military System, a comprehensive platform designed to meet the demands of modern warfare. Integrating advanced sensors, AI-driven cybersecurity tools, and portable communication systems, DefenceBOS enables real-time situational awareness, secure data exchange, and effective threat mitigation.
The platform’s cohesive design ensures that all components work seamlessly together, creating a robust and adaptive system capable of addressing the complexities of contemporary military operations.
Overall, eBOS’s commitment to research and development is supported by its state-of-the-art facilities, including a Beyond 5G/IoT testbed, advanced electronics laboratories, and AI-focused development centres.
The company continues to push the boundaries of innovation with projects that explore autonomous sensing systems, AI-powered cybersecurity solutions, and drone-based 5G networks.
