Cyprus – Greece Joint Search & Rescue Exercise “SALAMIS – 03/21” – Photos
On Sunday, June 27, 2021, the Cyprus – Greece joint Search & Rescue Exercise “SALAMIS – 03/21” was held. The exercise took place within the area of responsibility of the Republic of Cyprus, with the participation of the Greek frigate “KANARIS”, a helicopter of the 460th Search & Rescue Squadron of the National Guard as well as specialized nurses of the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services.
This exercise, coordinated by the Larnaca Search & Rescue Coordination Center, in collaboration with the Hellenic Navy General Staff, is the 3rd planned Rescue & Rescue exercise held in 2021 and is part of the existing Transnational Agreement between Cyprus and Greece.
