On October 15, the “informal dinner” between the president of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, the Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, and the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, will take place in New York, as announced by the “presidency” in the Occupied Territories.
According to the statement, the “informal dinner” will have no agenda, and the two leaders will exchange views in a social atmosphere. The invitation to the informal dinner will be sent to the parties by Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
According to information, the president of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, will travel to London on October 14, where he will meet with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
Mr. Christodoulidis will then go to New York to hold a joint meeting with the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community in the presence of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
After the meeting, Mr. Christodoulidis will go to Brussels ahead of the planned European Council, where he will inform the European leaders about the meeting in New York.
