Completion of exercise “EUNOMIA 2-2021”
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Defence, the aeronautical exercise “EUNOMIA 2-2021”, conducted with the participation of forces from the National Guard and the Greek, Italian and French Armed Forces, was successfully completed.
The exercise “EUNOMIA 2-2021” was held from Oct 4-7, 2021 and focused on items in an environment of multiple threats, but also on Search and Rescue.
The purpose of this Quadripartite Initiative is to maintain and improve the interoperability and cooperation between the Armed Forces of the four countries and to strengthen the joint naval and air presence in the Eastern Mediterranean, aiming at the implementation of the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), of International Law and the respect for the Rule of Law so as to enhance security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
