Statements were made by the Director General of the Ministry of Defence, Andreas Louka, on the camera of Defence Redefined on the occasion of his visit to the International Exhibition of Defence & Security DEFEA.
Mr. Louka stated that: “It is a special honour for me that the first participation of the Republic of Cyprus in a defence equipment exhibition takes place during my term. We unequivocally support our companies, we support the synergy between the public, private and academic sectors for research and development, and the basis of our companies in these issues, but what is special and unbelievable, is that some from our companies have recently contributed to the production of armament systems, by producing in Cyprus components that are necessary for these equipments. We will encourage them.”
