A boat of the Turkish special forces in Evros received fire coming from the side of Greece, Adrianople prefecture claims, saying that the fires ceased when the Turkish police fired into the air.

According to the Adrianople prefecture, last night near Rahmanca village in Evros, Turkish special forces police patrolling the river spotted a corpse – found to be an immigrant – caught in the roots of a tree.

The statement added that while the special forces police were taking photographs of the body, their boat received fire from the Greek side. “A group of 10-12 people from the Greek side wearing military uniform opened fire on our special forces police boat, our responsible personnel acted immediately and after firing into the air the shots ceased,” it was reported.
