The General Staff of the National Guard, in its announcement, states that from August 25 to 29, 2024, the National Guard participated with Commando Command personnel in the 13th annual competition of Special Operations Teams, “WARRIOR COMPETITION 2024,” held at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center in Jordan.

The Jordanian Armed Forces organized the competition, and 32 Special Operations Teams from 19 countries participated.

The announcement of the National Guard emphasizes that the activity was particularly beneficial for the National Guard, as it was an opportunity to strengthen its cooperation with the Armed Forces of other countries, exchange know-how on Special Operations issues, and increase its combat capability.

The King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) in Jordan has released information and details about the competition. The executives of the teams were evaluated in a multitude of operational items that required good physical condition, knowledge, accuracy, initiative, and self-confidence. Shooting events, urban combat, hijacking, cargo marches, night exercises, and obstacle courses were just some of the competition events.

Specifically, teams from Jordan, Cyprus, Italy, USA, Chile, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, and Senegal participated. Out of the 32 teams that participated, the team from the Sultanate of Brunei took first place, while the team from the 33rd Assault Squadron took 20th place.
