On 5 July 2024, one type Kamov-32 helicopter of EFA Ventures, leased to the Hellenic Fire Service, after a request of the Cyclades Forest Directorate, transported 8000 liters of fresh water to the uninhabited island of Antimilos, Greece.
The initiative took place for the support of the needs of the native population of the protected species Ibex Capra Aegagrus Pictus, due to lack of rain during the summer and to ensure their survival.
Antimilos Island in Greece is an island uninhabited by humans, but there survives a population of ibex Capra aegagrus pictus, which is a protected species.
Due to lack of rain during the summer in order to ensure its survival, fresh water is transported by helicopter to meet their needs until the start of the rains.
