Latest developments show that the Wagner team’s 24-hour insurgence has ended, following the mediation of the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, who announced that he had negotiated on Putin’s behalf with Prigozhin, persuading him to halt the advance on Moscow.
The Wagner mutiny is a significant blow to the prestige of Vladimir Putin, constituting another lesson for the Russian President, at a time when Moscow was faced with unforeseen discord, endangering even world peace, after the decision of the head of the mercenary organization, Gehvkeny Prigozhin, to turn against the Russian leadership regarding the handling of the war in Ukraine.
The next day is expected to be decisive for the interior of Russia. Gehvkeny Prigozhin went to Belarus with charges against him and Wagner’s forces to have been withdrawn from the Russian Authorities to prevent bloodshed.
Negotiations between Lukashenko and Prigozhin lasted all day, the Belarusian President’s press service reported. The leader of the paramilitary organization agreed with what Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, told him and put an end to his troop movements within Russia.
As reported, Lukashenko, acting in agreement with Putin, spoke to the head of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin. At the same time, it is claimed that an agreement was reached that guarantees the safety of Wagner’s fighters.
According to the Russian state news agency TASS, Wagner’s troops have started withdrawing from Rostov-on-Don. In particular, four trucks have left, while for now, tanks and other heavy equipment remain in the city.

A little later, in an audio message, Prigozhin is heard stating that to avoid bloodshed, their soldiers return to their bases. Also, he said that they initiated a peace march on June 23 and during this time not a single drop of militant blood has been shed while traveling within a day and reaching just 200 km from Moscow.
Prigozhin went on to say that the time had come when blood could be shed. Therefore, realizing all the responsibility for the fact that Russian blood will be spilled on one of the two sides, they turn their phalanxes and return in the opposite direction to the military camps, according to the plan, he said characteristically.
Despite Prigozhin’s announcement that Wagner’s forces are withdrawing and returning to their bases, Moscow continues its preventive fortification measures. At the same time, Dmitry Peskov announced that on June 26 everything will remain closed in the Russian capital for security reasons.
At the same time, the latest information is that in exchange for the withdrawal of Prigozhin’s forces, sweeping changes were decided in the Ministry of Defence. Yevgeny Prigozhin reportedly negotiated through Lukashenko to get rid of Shoigu to stop the advance toward Moscow.
It is recalled that Prigozhin had fiercely attacked Minister Shoigu and the “elderly”, who, in his opinion, did not protect the Russian soldiers and his own mercenaries.
