Cyprus – Greece – Armenia sign Tripartite Defence Cooperation Program

According to an announcement by the General Staff of the National Guard (GEEF), the Armenian Defence Attaché to Greece and Cyprus, Colonel Αrtur Dalibaltyan, visited the General Staff of the National Guard on August 31, 2021 where he met with the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis.

During the meeting, the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region, issues of common interest as well as ways of upgrading and expanding the cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Cyprus and Armenia were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the Tripartite Defence Cooperation Program between Cyprus – Greece – Armenia for 2022-2023 was signed. During the signing of the program, the Armed Forces were represented by the Head of the 4th Army Corps, Armoured Brigade Colonel Neophytos Pachoulidis, while the Armenian Armed Forces were represented by Defence Attaché, Colonel Artur Dalibaltyan.

The program includes, among other things, conducting joint exercises and bilateral contacts for the exchange of know-how, with the aim of promoting military cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and Armenia as well as highlighting the excellent relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
