Greece | Unveiling of the Bust of Vice-Captain Evangelia Andreadakis – Fell in Libya while on duty in 2023

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, it took place at the 251 General Hospital of Aviation (251GNA), in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, the Chief of the General Staff of National Defense (HNDGS), General Dimitrios Houpis, and the Chief of the General Staff of Aviation (GEA), Vice-Captain (I) Demosthenes Grigoriadis, and the unveiling ceremony of the bust of Vice-Captain (YN) Evangelia Andreadakis.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Papagou-Cholargou, Mr. Ilias Apostolopoulos, representatives of the Chiefs of the General Staff of the Army and Navy, the Directors of the Health Directorates of the HNDGS and the GEA, family members, Senior Officers of the Armed Forces, the Commander of Mount Athos, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Commander of 251GNA, honorary Chiefs of General Staff, Hospital staff, and guests.

Lieutenant General (YN) Evangelia Andreadaki lost her life on Sunday, September 17, 2023, while on duty, participating in a humanitarian aid mission in Libya.
