The Greek Navy is on alert after the Turkish NAVTEX for surveys in Kastelorizo

The Hellenic Navy is on alert, following the publication of the Turkish NAVTEX for seismic surveys near the area of Kastelorizo, within the boundaries of the Greek continental shelf.

The NAVTEX was issued by the Antalya Navtex station and it entails surveys that will be carried out as of today until August 2 in the sea area that extends about 200 miles east of Crete and about 180 miles south of Kastelorizo.

According to information, both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of Greece are calmly monitoring the movements of Ankara, while at the same time Navy forces are on alert.
