Sweden has agreed to finance the production of Ukrainian long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, Ukraine’s Defence Ministry announced on November 22, according to The Kyiv Independent.
The announcement was made during Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov’s working visit to Sweden and his talks with his Swedish counterpart, Pal Jonsson.
Defence ministers also discussed plans for military aid to Ukraine for 2025, including efforts to equip military units with hardware, which Umerov said was in the “final stages” of negotiation.
According to the Defence Ministry, Umerov also met with representatives of Swedish defence companies.
Sweden announced a new 9 million euros aid package for Ukraine in early November, which included two ships designed to enhance maritime security.
