Five years after imposing restrictions on arms exports to Turkey, Norway has decided to accept Ankara’s arms applications.
Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics wrote on Platform X yesterday that a Russian military drone crashed on his country’s territory and that violations of NATO territory are increasing along its eastern border.
Defense Minister Andris Spruds said in a statement that the unmanned aerial vehicle had entered Latvian airspace from Belarus and crashed in the municipality of Rezekne.
This situation confirms that they must continue the work they started to strengthen Latvia’s eastern border, mainly by developing air defense and electronic warfare capabilities to limit the activities of unmanned aerial vehicles, the Latvian minister said.
