Greece’s anti-NAVTEX in response to the extension of the Turkish one
Greece responded with an anti-Navtex to the extension of the illegal Turkish Navtex until August 27.
According to HELLENIC NATIONAL DEFENCE GENERAL STAFF (HNDGS) sources and following the extension of the previous illegal NAVTEX by Turkey in the afternoon of 23 August (to prolong the investigations of Oruc Reis until 27 August 2020, 23.59 Greek time), Greece issued a NAVTEX which binds an area for exercises within the Greek continental shelf south east of Crete, Karpathos, Rhodes and South Kastelorizo.
