Firefighter gets injured while on duty, due to stones attack

An incident regarding throwing a stone at a fire truck, resulted in a firefighter being injured on Sunday night.

More specifically, the Fire Service received a call for a fire in the area of ​​Geri, Nicosia District, however, as soon as it approached the spot, its vehicle received stones from unknown persons.

A firefighter was injured in the incident and was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was reportedly injured by a broken glass. 

The Police was informed and the case is being examined.  The Fire Service spokesman Mr. Kettis, told the Cyprus Times that “These things are unacceptable.”
