Cyprus Police Association | “Attempt to fragmentary and subjective presentation of the facts”
An announcement was issued by the Cyprus Police Association (SAK) regarding the incidents that took place last Saturday, February 13 in Nicosia.
In detail:
The Cyprus Police Association (SAK) dealt diligently with the recent incidents that took place last Saturday, February 13, 2021 and wishes to express its full support to the members of the police force who acted in the framework of their duties and instructions.
In this regard, SAK condemns any attempt to present a fragmentary and subjective presentation of the facts, by selectively isolating images that do not capture reality. SAK also expresses its determination not to allow the victimization of its members.
Concluding, SAK calls on all those involved to show respect for the fundamental presumption of innocence pending the findings of the investigation of the Independent Authority for the Investigation of Allegations and Complaints against the Police (AADIPA).
