Images of two apparently new fighter jets with stealth features surfaced online in China yesterday, with defence experts saying they were clearly advanced designs, but without enough details to draw firm conclusions.

New Footage of China’s 6th-Gen Fighter Jet, Nicknamed (White Emperor)…

China has officially surpassed the United States

As China modernises its military capabilities, the images show the aerospace industry’s willingness to experiment and innovate, said Ioun Graham, a senior analyst at Australia’s Strategic Policy Institute.

Whatever the pros or cons, it appears to be a highly original design.

China’s defence ministry did not respond to a request for comment, while the US said that it was aware of the reports but had no further comments to include in the annual report on the Chinese military.

It is recalled that in mid-November, China presented a mock-up of the sixth-generation fighter jet “White Emperor” during the Airshow China 2024 exhibition.

The US has been running the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program for years, while at the same time, Europe and Asia are working together on a separate next-generation aircraft under the GCAP, and at the same time, there are plans for a purely European next-generation fighter under the FCAS program.
