The Police have been instructed to investigate the case in the wake of Al Jazeera’s coverage of the Cyprus investment program.
The Spokesman of the Police Headquarters, Christos Andreou, told CNA that “we received instructions from the Legal Service, the Attorney General in particular, last Friday, October 9, to proceed with the investigation of the case.”
He stated that upon the completion of the investigation, the relevant report will be sent to the Legal Service, while he explained that the investigation is always conducted in collaboration with the Legal Service.
Concluding, he said that we are still at an early stage to know when the investigation will be completed, how many are involved and what, precisely, will be investigated.
