An enjoyable series revives the history of tanks on Netflix. “Age of Tanks” brings to light the idea behind the development of the first tank and the evolution of models through the decades and events of the 20th century. The series covers the entire history of tanks, from drawings on paper in the early 1900s to today’s beasts.
What you will see in the first episode: Entitled “Iron, iron, everywhere”, the series deals with the idea of developing a heavy tracked vehicle that will penetrate the trenches and positions of enemy infantry.
In the series you will see real stories and documents from moments that changed the course of wars with tanks. In the middle of the First World War, the British soldier Basil Henriques drives the first tank in history against the enemy lines, literally starting “the age of tanks”.
The first episode gives us an overview of how the first tanks revolutionized ground warfare and determined the outcome of major conflicts, helping to shape the world today.
