Germany | Acquires four additional Patriot systems

The German Parliament has given the green light for the purchase of four new US-made Patriot air defence systems for the Air Force for a price of 1.3 billion euros.
Following a recommendation from the defence committee, the budget committee of the Bundestag gave last Wednesday its approval for the Luftwaffe’s procurement.
The German Air Force has delivered two Patriot systems to Ukraine, while 10 remain for its own use, according to CNN Greece.
These systems, considered among the most advanced in the world, can intercept hostile enemy aircraft, ballistic missiles, or cruise missiles at a distance of up to 100 kilometers and at an altitude of up to 30 kilometers, depending on the munitions used.
