The first place in a competition for sustainability was won by students from Heraklion, Crete, who built a submarine.
The Curie-osity team, students from the 1st EFKE Heraklion, won a grand prize at the Future League competition for sustainability in Berlin by building a small submarine.
According to Cretalive, the students’ submarine meets very strict safety standards for use in seawater and was part of the young students’ proposal for sustainable development.
In fact, the project had qualified among 60 student groups, in order to compete last week in Berlin representing not only Crete, but also Greece as a whole.
The prize was officially announced by the physicist and head of the 1st EFKE Heraklion, Astrinos Tsoutsoudakis:
