On Friday, September 29, 2023, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), General Konstantinos Floros, was briefed on the new technologies of the newly-established Joint Center for Research/Technological Development and Innovation of HNDGS. The briefing took place in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, the Commander of the Special Warfare Command of HNDGS, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Houpis, and the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral Konstantinos Vlachos, on behalf of the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymoussis.

According to a relevant announcement, the Chief of HNDGS was briefed on the mission and work of the Joint Center for Research/Technological Development and Innovation, which has been reorganized and now consists of personnel from all branches of the Hellenic Armed Forces. Further, he attended a drone demonstration of various types, sizes, and capabilities, of remote-controlled aerial targets, loitering munitions and many upgraded technological products that can be used across the modern battlefield.
The Chief of HNDGS congratulated the Centre’s personnel whose vision develops tools and know-how which contribute to the progress and development in the field of applied research of defence weapon systems.
