Drilling ship Abdulhamid Han is once again in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to the NAVTEX issued by Turkey.

The NAVTEX states that the area between Rhodes and Cyprus is reserved for surveys that will last for six months, from August 10, 2023, to February 6, 2024.

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Alparslan Bayraktar, made a relevant post on social media.

A year after joining Turkey’s exploration fleet, the drilling ship Abdülhamid Han is ready for its new mission in the Mediterranean, he wrote.

According to the marine geo-tracking satellite system MarineTraffic.com, the Turkish drilling ship is currently moored in Tasuçu off Seleucia, southern Turkey, while the support ship Aybuke is en route to the floating drilling ship.

The Kutsi Ilhan, a support vessel of Abdulhamid Khan, is also moored in Tasuju harbor.
