In a recent post on its Facebook page, the European Commission in Greece reveals that it is going to finance the modernization of 7 CL-415 firefighting aircraft as well as two AS-332 Super Puma helicopters of the Fire Service.
The announcement comes just days after the announcement that the Recovery Fund will finance the supply, from Greece, of two Erickson S-64 firefighting helicopters and 11 AT- light aircraft 802 (FireBoss) by Air Tractor for the islands.
Therefore, the Ministry of Civil Protection continues its relentless planning regarding the purchase of new firefighting equipment (S-64, FireBoss), but also the modernization of the equipment that is already in service and has been operating continuously in recent years.
