The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, honoured the Cypriot mission that participated in the extinguishing of the catastrophic fires that broke out in Greece. President Anastasiadis, in a post on Twitter, wrote that tonight he honours the members of the Fire Service, the Civil Defence and the Department of Forests for their mission in the catastrophic fires in Greece. Both they and their colleagues often overcome fears, boundaries and endurance. And for that they are grateful. During the award ceremony, Mr. Anastasiadis addressed a greeting.
Και για αυτό σας είμαστε ευγνώμονες. pic.twitter.com/D03qGY4iil

At the same time, the proposal included in the now approved Recovery and Resilience Plan that the government submitted to the European Union, which will be supplemented by state funds, is expected to give a significant impetus to the Forest Fire Management System.
Και σας στηρίζουμε. pic.twitter.com/cbFjXMq7MB

The proposal has a total budget of over € 28 million and includes 18 major actions to strengthen infrastructure, equipment and education. Twenty-eight million is not enough, but the state will assist so that all 18 actions can be achieved at the expense of the state budget.
