Underwater Demolition Command | Neutralization of German moored contact type mine – VIDEO

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, a Mine Demolition Team (OEN) of the Underwater Demolition Command (DYK) carried out the neutralization of a German moored contact type mine (type GQ) in the sea area of Diros, Laconia. The mine was located at a depth of 20m and was in very good condition.

The operation was carried out in collaboration with the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, the Greek Police and the Municipality of East Mani.
