Prisma Electronics has successfully delivered the first systems for the FDI frigates, having passed all rigorous acceptance tests set by Naval Group.
The company announced the successful completion of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in both Alexandroupoli, Greece, and France for critical electronic systems forming part of the FDI frigate’s main weapon system. This was achieved in close collaboration with the Naval Group.
Following successful testing, the systems have been shipped to France for integration, while production of the next batch is already underway. According to Prisma Electronics, this milestone underscores the company’s expertise and further solidifies Greece’s role in the international defence industry.
The Successful Delivery of these first systems paves the way for further cooperation and serves as proof of the Greek Defence Industry’s capability to manufacture cutting-edge systems that meet the most stringent specifications.
Moreover, this achievement highlights the strategic importance of Alexandroupoli as an emerging hub for innovative defence and maritime industries. The positive FAT results, announced by Naval Group, mark an important step in strengthening defence industrial cooperation between Greece and France.
The project’s success was made possible through seamless collaboration between Prisma and Naval Group executives, who worked together to overcome various technological challenges. The two companies are now exploring opportunities to expand their partnership and tackle new defence projects.
