Intracom Defence (IDE) announced a new contract award by Diehl Defence for the development of a new advanced medium- and long-range IRIS-T missile communications link system.
The system will have advanced performance characteristics, able to support long-range secure multidirectional communications (ground-to-air and air-to-ground), with a high data rate and anti-jamming capabilities under extreme environmental conditions.
The initial phase of the programme for design and development is the result of a long-term effort between IDE and Diehl Defence over the last two years, including the analysis of programme requirements and the implementation of the technical feasibility studies.
