According to Turkish media reports, the Turkish Gendarmerie received 3 Bayraktar T52 Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV) with a total number of drones in the Turkish Armed Forces reaching 107. The head of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), İsmail Demir congratulated Baykar Makina in a statement on Twitter on its contribution to the improvement of Turkey’s technology development.

The armored UCAVs Bayraktar TB2 and ANKA-S have been manufactured in Turkey and have been operational since 2015. The Turkish Army has lost a significant number of Bayraktars and some ANKA-S on the battlefields in Syria and Libya, with some sources even talking about the loss of 60 Bayraktar TB2 in Libya only!
