Iran’s military has announced that it will receive 1000 new unmanned aerial vehicles and munitions, according to a report by Iranian media outlet Tasnim.
According to the report, Iran’s military will receive 1000 new drones of various types produced domestically by the country’s armed forces and defense ministry in the coming days.
Among the new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that Iran’s military will receive are the Ababil-4 and Ababil-5. Ababil-4, according to published information, can cover more range than Ababil-3, whose range is around 100 km. The Ababil-5 is estimated to cover a range of 480 km and can carry four Almas guided anti-tank missiles or six Qaem guided bombs whose ranges reach 8 km and 6 km respectively.
The Iranian army will also receive Arash-type self-propelled munitions with a range of 2 km and an explosive warhead weighing 15 kg.
