Poland receives its first two 5th generation F-35 Lightning II aircraft from the US Lockheed Martin.
The Polish Air Force’s first two F-35 aircraft were transferred to Ebbing Air Force Base in Arkansas, USA, where Polish pilots will be trained to operate them.
Poland will receive a total of 32 5th generation F-35 fighter jets, according to the contract it signed in 2020 worth 4.3 billion dollars. The American F-35s are to replace the MiG-29 and Su-22 aircraft in the Polish Air Force.
