A significant donation from companies, local authorities, and organized groups was received by the Cyprus Police as to protect its members from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, the Cyprus Police expresses its special thanks to companies, local authorities and organized groups for their contribution of protective equipment to the members of the Police who are in the front line, trying to monitor the implementation of the measures taken against the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Police has so far received 650 face shields, a number of gloves and antiseptic fluids, five packages of shoe covers as well as 5,600 shoe protectors. “The donations will contribute to the safety of both the police officers and the civilians that undergo police inspection.
With such expressions of solidarity, we are confident that the effort to tackle and prevent the spread of the pandemic will be successful,” the Police said in its statement.
