Yemen | Houthis claim to have hit Saudi Arabia’s Patriot Air Defence system – VIDEO
Earlier today, April 15, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) carried out a large-scale attack with 11 unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles on various targets in the southern Jian province of Saudi Arabia.
According to General Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Ansar Allah movement, seven Badr-1 and Saeer guided missiles hit the facilities of Saudi Arabia’s largest oil company, Aramco. At the same time, according to the Houthis, four Samad-3 and Qasef-2K loitering munitions hit various MIM-104 Patriot air defence systems.
A #Houthi spokesman in the #Yemen-i capital #Sanaa said that 11 missiles and drones had targeted sites of the #Saudi energy giant #Aramco on Thursday in #Jazan. The spokesman said that Patriot anti-missile batteries and other "sensitive sites" were also targeted in the attacks. pic.twitter.com/Ni8QIxCjGw

“We promise the Saudi regime, larger and wider operations if it continues its aggression and the siege of our country,” the spokesman said in a statement.
The Saudi-led coalition claimed that its anti-missile systems had intercepted five missiles and four unmanned aerial vehicles over Jizan. There is no evidence however supporting these allegations.
In addition, shots from the site of the attacks show large explosions and fires. A video even shows a direct missile hit. The plans confirm that the Houthi large-scale attack was relatively successful.
