USA | Trump’s “unhinged” – Pelosi talks to Military Chief over nuclear launch codes

Democratic leader in Congress, Nancy Pelosi, revealed Friday that she spoke with the Chief of Staff to ensure that President Donald Trump – this unhinged president – “will not be able to access the launch codes for nuclear weapons.”
“This morning, I spoke with Chief of Staff, Mark Miley, on how to prevent an unstable president from launching hostilities or gaining access to launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike,” Pelosi said in a letter to Democratic Republicans in Congress.

“The situation of this unhinged president could not be more dangerous,” she added. Pelosi even threatened that Congress would take action if Trump did not leave the White House “immediately and voluntarily”, but did not specify what actions she would take.
Miley’s spokesman, Colonel Dave Butler, confirmed the phone call, which was initiated by Pelosi. The general “answered her questions about the nuclear hierarchy,” she said, without giving further details.
The president of the USA is at the same time the supreme commander of the army. He gives the order to activate the nuclear arsenal to the head of the military hierarchy, who transfers it to the nuclear facility, if legal. The 45th president of the United States will hand over power to Joe Biden on January 20, but Pelosi said on Thursday that every day that remains can turn into a “thriller” for America.
