A US Navy engineer and his wife are accused of selling secret information about nuclear submarines to an undercover FBI agent who posed as an operative for a foreign country.
Since 2020, the 42-year-old engineer has sent a package with secret data to an unknown country and sent secrets to an FBI agent posing as a foreign official in exchange for thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency. A memory card containing confidential information about the Virginia-class submarine reactors has been found in his possession. Official sources state that he has received payments of about $ 100,000.
