Joe Biden quit the presidential race for the US elections, as he announced in a letter to X, even stating that he supports Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential candidacy.

The US president has announced that he will no longer seek a second term, a news that is triggering developments within the next few days, as the presidential election now leads the contest into “uncharted waters”.

Biden even declared that he supports Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for president of the country in the US elections in November.

Biden’s announcement

The White House sent a clear message about Joe Biden’s intentions after announcing that he will withdraw from the election race in response to congressional Republicans who are calling for his retirement from the presidency, that he will complete his term.

In particular, in his statement to CNNi, White House spokesman Andrew Bates said that President Biden inherited from his predecessor, among other things, an economy in free fall and a rising crime rate. The President looks forward to completing his term and delivering to the US people.

This includes continuing to lower the cost of living, creating jobs, and protecting Social Security, while standing up to the MAGAnomics agenda that will worsen inflation and lead to a recession, and continuing to fight to protect Americans’ freedoms from abortion bans and attacks on the rule of law, he concluded.

Trump’s first reaction 

Donald Trump described Joe Biden as the worst president in the history of the USA, in his statement to CNNi, shortly after the announcement of the withdrawal of the Democratic president from the race of the November elections. He also said that Kamala Harris will be easier to defeat in the November election than Democratic President Joe Biden, who has withdrawn his candidacy.

At the same time, Donald Trump, a few minutes after the announcement of the resignation of the Democratic president from the election race, launched a “fire” against Joe Biden in his post on social media.

In fact, he spoke of a conspiracy by his doctor and the media to hide his physical and mental condition adding that they will suffer a lot because of his presidency but will undo the damage he has done very quickly.
