Five years after imposing restrictions on arms exports to Turkey, Norway has decided to accept Ankara’s arms applications.
President Biden approved in March a highly classified nuclear strategic plan for the United States aiming in refining USA’s deterrence strategy to focus on China’s rapid expansion of its nuclear arsenal.
The change comes as the Pentagon believes China’s stockpiles will rival those of the United States and Russia in size and diversity over the next decade.
The White House never announced that Mr. Biden had approved the revised strategy, called “Nuclear Weapons Employment Policy” which also recently sought to prepare the United States for possible coordinated nuclear challenges from China, Russia, and North Korea.
In recent speeches, two senior government officials, Vipin Narang and Pranay Vaddi, hinted at the change with carefully worded sentences ahead of the upcoming notification to Congress, which is expected before Biden leaves the office.
