Joe Biden is optimistic about the final result of the elections, as soon as the counting of all votes is completed. “We feel good about who we are right now and I can tell you that we are on track to win,” Joe Biden told supporters in Delaware’s Wilmington after midnight.
“Keep your faith,” said the Democratic presidential candidate, urging his supporters to be patient.
Mr Biden said they knew it would take some time for the result due to the large number of early votes. “Every ballot counts,” said the former US Vice President. He said he was optimistic about Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, but also about Georgia, from which he admitted had better expectations.
“We may know the results by morning, but it may take longer. I have said it many times. It is not my job or President Trump’s job to say who won the election, but of the American people. And I am optimistic about the result,” he said.
President Trump tweeted that he would make a statement tonight. “Great victory,” he wrote.
