A huge concentration of forces has been observed in recent weeks on the Ukrainian-Russian border, while as revealed by videos and reports on social media, Belarus has mobilized its military forces for reasons not yet known.
At the same time, Moscow warns the West that any deployment of military forces in the region will force it to take emergency measures to ensure its security, stating that the situation on the line of contact in eastern Ukraine between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatist forces is scary and that many provocative actions take place there.

On the ground, according to a statement from the Donetsk People’s Republic Militia (DPR), on April 3, Ukrainian soldiers attacked settlements, using a four-winged UAV equipped with an improvised explosive device (IED). The attack took place in the village of Aleksandrovskoe, resulting in the death of a 5-year-old boy and some women’s injuries, according to the DPR Militia.
Some sources claim that there was an intense exchange of artillery fire in the Republic of Luhansk (LPR), near the villages of Bryanka, Stakhanov, Kirovsk, on April 2.
According to sources close to the DPR, Ukrainian warplanes arrived at Chuguev airport in the Kharkiv region. According to Southfront, Ukrainian helicopters were also spotted near the Donetsk front lines in the Donetsk Republic (DPR).
In addition, several videos show dozens of Russian attack helicopters across the border with Ukraine, including the Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter and the Mi-28 Night Hunter.
In another development, yesterday, April 3, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, Colonel Pavelko, announced that Ukraine will participate in NATO operations in the Eastern Mediterranean and Iraq. “We intend to increase the national contribution to NATO operations and missions,” he said.

At the political level, the President of Ukraine had his first telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden on Friday, April 2.
Biden’telephone conversation with the Ukrainian president came amid claims of US support to Ukraine and ongoing visits by Western military officials to Kiev. Now, the risk of a major military attack on the DPR and the LPR seems more likely than ever.
