The Yemeni movement Ansar Allah (commonly known as the Houthi movement) has released several videos showing their ground and naval forces.
The increase in Houthi media activity comes amid a deep crisis in the Saudi-backed government in the city of Aden and the port of Abd.
In addition, the Houthi activity seems to be increasing on the battlefield. On December 21, the revolutionary movement announced that its forces had shot down a Chinese CH4 drone built by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. The incident allegedly took place in Marib province.
The Ansar Allah movement has a large arsenal and many weapon systems mainly from Iran, but it also invests in local industry. On December 19, the interior ministry of the Yemeni government in Sanaa, led by the Houthis, unveiled a locally made armored vehicle called “Bass-1”.
The Bass-1 armored vehicle has a modern design with bulletproof windows and holes in the doors as well as in the rear. A 12.7 mm DShK machine gun was built into the turret of the vehicle.
The development of the Bass-1 vehicle proves that the exclusion from the Saudi coalition in Yemen does not affect the military capabilities of the Houthis at all.
The inability of the Saudi-led coalition to impose a complete blockade on Yemen is not just a problem of the invading force. Pro-Saudi forces are sheltered on the battlefield.
The border battles controlled by the Houthis and the Coalition also take place daily. Now the focus of the fighting in the much-suffering Yemen is the city of Marib, which is currently under the control of the Saudi Coalition. The city is the last real stronghold left in the coalition. The Houthi movement seeks to occupy the city.
