Belarus’s Defence Ministry has announced that it has launched the third phase of combat readiness and check, which provides for the country’s military units to be at the highest possible level of combat readiness.
“On August 24, by order of the Minister of Defence of Belarus, under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the third phase of combat readiness and check of the armed forces began,” the ministry told the Telegram.
The purpose of the check is to assess both the ability and the readiness of the military units to perform exercises in a dynamically changing environment, according to the Ministry of Defence of Belarus.
“During the check, certain military units are expected to be put on the highest level of readiness, with the mobilization of reservists,” the ministry said, adding that the check would be completed with a military exercise.
